From December 5 to January 6, Offagna prepares to experience one of the most evocative times of the year: Christmas. For over a month, the village will welcome residents and visitors with a rich calendar of events dedicated to families, children, and those passionate about history, art, and tradition.
The 2025–2026 program offers a widespread itinerary that brings together lights, music, workshops, exhibitions, and cultural initiatives, designed to enhance the medieval charm of Offagna and create opportunities for gathering and community.
The lighting of the Christmas tree and the opening of the festivities
On December 5, in Piazza del Comune – Primary School, the Christmas tree lighting will take place, accompanied by festive lights and songs. This symbolic moment officially marks the beginning of the holiday season, creating an enchanting atmosphere that will accompany the entire Christmas period.
Events for all ages
December will feature numerous activities dedicated to children and families: creative workshops, reading sessions, school performances, and cultural events that will animate the village’s museums, churches, and public spaces. There will also be shows and activities inspired by local history and traditions, such as “The Commander of the Fortress and Santa Claus’s Suit,” scheduled at the Museum of the Rocca.
The program also includes themed exhibitions, such as the display of miniature nativity scenes at the Church of Santa Lucia, open to visitors from December 14 to January 30.
A Christmas of music, culture, and community
Music will play a central role with concerts and choirs, while the Council Hall will host book presentations, readings, and meetings dedicated to the history of the Offagna community. Among the most anticipated moments is the exchange of holiday greetings and the award ceremony, both taking place in the Council Hall.
The Pasquella of Offagna
On January 6, the traditional Pasquella will take place along the village streets, one of the most representative events of the local folk culture. This celebration ideally closes the Christmas season, bringing music, folklore, and a warm sense of community participation.
A village that embodies the magic of Christmas
With its medieval architecture, illuminated streets, and timeless atmosphere, Offagna offers an ideal setting to experience an authentic and emotional Christmas. All events are designed to showcase the territory, engage the community, and welcome those who wish to discover—or rediscover—the village during the holiday season.
