In Offagna, a surprising museum hub awaits you, ready to satisfy every curiosity with a journey that weaves together history, nature, and memory.
Your starting point can only be the Medieval Fortress (Rocca), the beating heart of the village. Explore this impressive military building, discover its collection of ancient weapons, and once at the top, let yourself be won over by a 360-degree panorama that stretches from the peaks of the Apennines to the blue of the Riviera del Conero.
A few steps away, the scene changes completely with the “Luigi Paolucci” Museum of Natural Sciences. Here you’ll immerse yourself in a meticulous reconstruction of Marche’s wildlife, a fascinating route that rises from the sea to the mountains. It’s a perfect adventure for children too, who can explore the museum with a fun audio guide created just for them.
Finally, for a dive into contemporary history, the Museum of Liberation offers a precious testimony to the passage of the Second World War through these lands. Through documents, war relics, and photographs rich in humanity, you will relive a pivotal moment in our recent history, discovering the role of the Polish II Corps in the Liberation of Italy.
The ticket office for all museums is located at the entrance to the Medieval Fortress. Here you can purchase a ticket to visit individual museums or a combined ticket for the village’s three museum institutions.
At the Medieval Fortress there will be staff available to accompany interested visitors to the L. Paolucci Museum of Natural Sciences and to the Ancona Museum of Liberation. The full museum tour lasts about an hour and a half.
