Museums tell their stories: starting June 22!

The cultural review “I musei raccontano” kicks off in Offagna with a series of unmissable events, spanning history, science, nature, and memory. The first appointment is scheduled for June 22 at 6:00 PM at the Giardino del Monastero (Monastery Garden), with a conference dedicated to one of the most fascinating nights of the year: St. John's Night.

June 22 at 6:00 PM – Giardino del Monastero (Monastery Garden)
Conference “Le erbe della notte magica: il rito di San Giovanni” (The herbs of the magical night: the rite of St. John) led by Tommaso Lucchetti. An evening to discover the customs, symbols, and properties of the herbs traditionally gathered on this night, linked to rites of purification, magic, and popular culture.

Book Presentation “La mia vita nel Gulag. Memorie da Vorkuta 1945-1956” (My life in the Gulag. Memoirs from Vorkuta 1945-1956) by Anna Szyszko-Grzywacz
During the event, the donation of the military uniform of Prof. Rasiej, founder and first president of the Association of Poles in Italy, will take place by his heirs.

July 16 at 6:30 PM – Passeggiata storico-naturalistica (Historical-naturalistic walk) from the Museo della Liberazione (Museum of the Liberation) to the Monte della Crescia
Led by Matteo Petrucci, historian and environmental guide
On the occasion of the liberation of Offagna which took place between July 17 and 18, 1944.

August 30-31 – “Biban, la festa dei bambini” (Biban, the children's festival)
Biological and physical science workshops led by Francesco Piva
Reading of fairy tales and legends related to the flora and fauna studied by the naturalist Luigi Paolucci

September 6 at 5:00 PM – Biblioteca Evaristo Breccia (Evaristo Breccia Library)
Conference: “8 settembre 1943, era possibile un’altra storia?” (September 8, 1943, was another history possible?)
