Two evenings in Ancona to rediscover Luigi Paolucci, naturalist and guardian of Marche's biodiversity

The month of May will be an opportunity to pay homage to the figure of Luigi Paolucci, the most relevant naturalist from Ancona between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, to whom the Museum of Natural Sciences in Offagna is dedicated.

Two public meetings will be held at the **Casa Culture in Ancona, at Via Vallemiano 46, at 6:00 PM**:

• Saturday, May 10th, Luca Di Gioia will present the work “I giardini d’Italia in un manoscritto di Paolucci riscoperto e pubblicato” (The Gardens of Italy in a Rediscovered and Published Paolucci Manuscript), a fascinating journey into botany through the eyes and writings of Paolucci.
• Saturday, May 17th it will be the turn of Vincenzo Caputo Barucchi, with a lecture entitled “Il mare di Ancona e le collezioni del Museo Paolucci” (The Sea of Ancona and the Paolucci Museum Collections), to explore the naturalist's scientific and marine heritage and the value of the museum collections today.

The initiative is promoted by Legambiente “Il Pungitopo” of Ancona, which has been committed for years to environmental protection and cultural enhancement of the territory.
