Offagna hosts the first edition of the “Visciolata”: on June 7th and 8th, two days dedicated to sour cherry wine, craftsmanship, and local traditions
The medieval village of Offagna is preparing to welcome the first edition of the “Visciolata di Offagna”, scheduled for June 7th and 8th, 2025, an event that aims to enhance the cultural, food and wine, and artisanal heritage of the Marche region.
Promoted by Offagna Crea, with the patronage of the Municipality of Offagna and the support of local sponsors, the Visciolata represents an opportunity for tourist and identity promotion, focusing on two excellences of regional tradition: **sour cherry wine** and the **Marche-style 'ciambellone' (ciambellò)**. Alongside the valorization of typical products, the event offers a wide range of artistic experiences and workshops curated by local artisans inside the village's workshops.
Event Program
Saturday, June 7th
Sunday, June 8th
During both days, it will be possible to visit the artisan workshops that are part of the Offagna Crea circuit: exhibitions of ceramics, weaving, olive wood, glass painting, artistic mosaic, musical instruments, decorative objects, and jewelry, as well as live demonstrations and thematic workshops for adults and children (by reservation).
The cultural experience is completed by guided tours of the main places of interest in the historic center, including the **Ancona Liberation Museum,** the **Medieval Fortress (Rocca)**, the **Monastery of Santa Zita**, the **Torrione (Tower)**, the **Church of the Sacrament**, and the **Piazza del Maniero (Maniero Square)**.
The Offagna Crea Project
The initiative is part of the **Offagna Crea** project, created with the aim of promoting local artistic craftsmanship through the recovery and promotion of the historic workshops in the village. The annual program includes permanent events, exhibitions, and workshops, with the coordinated opening of the workshops during the main city events.
