On Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 2026, one of Offagna’s most distinctive and eagerly awaited traditional events returns: the 38th “Fiera del Colombaccio” Exhibition and Market.
For an entire weekend, the medieval village will host exhibitions of ornamental birds, dogs and cats, local food products, handicrafts, art exhibitions, children’s activities, live music and events dedicated to animals and nature.
It will also be a great opportunity to discover Offagna’s historical and cultural heritage, with reduced admission to the village’s three museums.
The event will officially begin on Saturday, September 12 at 3:00 PM.
In Piazza del Comune, in collaboration with the Associazione Ornitologica Recanatese Valmusone, visitors will be able to admire an exhibition featuring various species of ornamental birds.
In the historic centre and beyond the Rocca Gallery, the event “Dogs and Cats, Who Says They Can’t Get Along?” will feature beautiful examples of Irish Setters, French Bulldogs, Maine Coons, British Shorthairs, Exotic Shorthairs and Persians.
There will also be plenty of fun for children, with pony rides in the Rocca Gardens.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors can explore stands featuring traditional food and wine products, dairy products, cured meats, creative handicrafts, and natural and organic products.
The workshops and artisan shops of OFFAGNA CREA will also be open throughout the weekend.
The Fiera del Colombaccio will also offer plenty of opportunities to discover art, creativity and culture.
The Church of the SS. Sacramento will host an exhibition of paintings, ceramics and miniature models of furniture and agricultural machinery, while a sculpture exhibition will be on display in the historic centre.
Food stands will also be open throughout the event.
From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, visitors will be able to enjoy reduced admission to Offagna’s three museums:
The first day will end at 9:00 PM with live music by the Lady Dania Group in Piazza Chiesa del Sacramento.
The second day of the 38th Fiera del Colombaccio will begin on Sunday, September 13 at 8:00 AM.
The ornamental bird exhibition organised by the Associazione Ornitologica Recanatese Valmusone will continue in Piazza del Comune, with one of the highlights of the 2026 edition: the return of the racing pigeons.
The dog and cat exhibition, pony rides in the Rocca Gardens, local food and craft market, OFFAGNA CREA artisan shops and exhibitions throughout the village will also continue.
Food stands will remain open during the day.
The three museums will offer reduced admission from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
One of Sunday’s most evocative moments will take place at 12:30 PM in front of the Church of S. Tommaso Apostolo, with the blessing of the Exhibition and Market and the animals.
At the end of the ceremony, the racing pigeons will take flight over the square, creating one of the most symbolic and spectacular moments of the Fiera del Colombaccio.
From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in Piazza del Comune, Copagri Marche will present the workshop “Dyeing and Printing Techniques Using Nature, for a Quality Supply Chain”, led by Giulia Alberti from Fattoria La Rocca.
