37th Edition of the Wood Pigeon Fair

Offagna awaits you on September 13 and 14, 2025 for the 37th Wood Pigeon Fair!

A weekend full of events for adults and children, here is the program:

SATURDAY, September 13, 2025

All items:

from 3:00 PM – opening of the 37th “Wood Pigeon Fair” 2025 Exhibition-Market. • Piazza del Comune, with the Recanatese Valmusone Ornithological Association: exhibition of ornamental bird species. New for 2025: CARRIER PIGEONS. The Recanatese Valmusone Ornithological Association, with its legal office in Osimo and operational office in Castelfidardo, is one of the most active in the national ornithological scene and the only one in the Marche-Umbria area) to organize important ornithological exhibitions and events. • Via dell’Arengo, Piazza Giovanni Paolo II (ACLI area), Norwegian Forest Cats, Maine Coons; with associations in defense of abandoned or mistreated animals such as Albero delle Stelle ASD, a reality that for thirteen years has been carrying out educational, sports, and zooanthropological projects involving children and the elderly with their life stories and teachings; the shelter hosts elderly and/or disabled animals rescued from mistreatment who, after an adequate educational process that ensures their well-being, support the center's activities. • Via dell’Arengo, Piazza “della Contesa”, typical food and wine products, dairy productions, creative craftsmanship, natural-organic products.

Afternoon events:

4:00 PM – Piazza Giovanni Paolo II (ACLI area), with the Social Cooperative “Retefamiglia”, opening of the Kamishibai workshop for children: the little ones will create a special magic wand to use during the readings: first reading at 4:30 PM, second reading at 5:30 PM, third reading at 6:30 PM. The Retefamiglia cooperative has been active in the province of Ancona since 2013. It deals with “home nurseries”, small realities of aggregation, socialization, and education for children from 3 months to 3 years of age.
from 4:00 PM – “Luigi Paolucci” Museum of Natural Sciences: Treasure Hunt with Vera (ages 6-10) (paid event); reservations at 392 1302383.
from 5:00 PM – Entry to the 3 museums at a reduced price.
5:00 PM – Piazza del Maniero in collaboration with the CONERO RESCUE DOGS Association and VAB MARCHE (Forest Fire Surveillance): presentation of the activities of CONERO RESCUE DOGS, with a demonstration of activities by VAB MARCHE; 5:45 PM: demonstration of people search, obedience, and conduct by the canine units of CONERO RESCUE DOGS; 6:30 PM: end-of-activity briefing.
6:00 PM – Rocca Gardens: Songs for Mother Earth, with Andreea Merci and Nicoletta Cossa.
from 7:00 PM – Dinner in the square.
9:00 PM – Live music in the square with the band Quartetto C’entra.

3:30 PM-6:30 PM – City Council Hall, seminar “Healthy Eating Habits L.R. 23 of 7/12/23: the use of flours”, with Dr. Valeria Palatella and Dr. Marina Ottaviani. (*)

Afternoon activities:

from 4:00 PM – “Luigi Paolucci” Museum of Natural Sciences: Treasure Hunt with Vera (ages 6-10) (paid event); reservations at 392 1302383.
4:00 PM – Piazza del Maniero, with the association Il Naso di Carlotta: presentation and illustration of the uses of dogs in social settings. How Pet Therapy works in hospitals, nursing homes, and schools.
4:30 PM – Guide Dog and Assistance Dog Demonstration: dogs will perform tasks that facilitate the daily lives of people with disabilities.
5:15 PM – Doing sports with your dog: demonstration of Obedience (exercises to train dogs in basic commands: sit, stay, come when called, walk on a leash). 5:45 PM – Demonstration of the Rally Obedience course: a combination of traditional obedience with an obstacle course.
6:30 PM – Opportunity to try the course: some spectators can have their dogs exercise guided by expert instructors.
7:00 PM – Award ceremony for participants.
from 5:00 PM – Entry to the 3 museums at a reduced price.
6:00 PM – Via dell’Arengo (next to the Church of S. Lucia), with the Marchigiana Amici della Morra Association: Morra Tournament in pairs; the traditional game that became UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023 returns to Offagna.
