Presentation of the book “La mia vita nel Gulag” by Anna Szyszko-Grzywacz

The Municipality of Offagna, with institutional patronage, invites citizens to an event of great historical and cultural value.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at the Library of the Offagna Museum Complex, the presentation of the book “La mia vita nel Gulag. Memorie da Vorkuta 1945–1956” by Anna Szyszko-Grzywacz will be held.

The author's daughter, Barbara, will speak at the meeting, recounting the dramatic experience lived by her mother during the years of imprisonment in Soviet labor camps, between 1945 and 1956.

Following this, at the Museum of the Liberation, a donation ceremony will be held for the military uniform that belonged to eng. Mieczysław Rasiej (1924–2007), former combatant, activist, and first president of the National Association of Poles in Italy.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Polo Museale Offagna, Polovers, and Memorial Italia, and with the support of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Ancona and the Italo-Polish New Association of the Marche.

The citizens are invited to participate in this important occasion for memory and reflection.
